Tommy Simpson/Dave Rayner jersey
This year, on the 50th anniversary of Tommy Simpson's death we have teamed up with... .... and the Dave Rayner fund to produce a limited edition jersey in order to raise money for the Dave Rayner Fund and as a gentle nod to Tommy's fine career.
The Dave Rayner Fund provide vital grants to young British riders that enable them to race abroad. Among the riders supported have been Dave Millar (one of the very first recipients of a grant), through to more recent champions like Adam Yates. Today the fund helps 36 young riders to fulfill their ambition of riding professionally. Simply put, without projects such as this British Cycling would not be in the healthy state that it is now.
Tommy Simpson's career needs no introduction to cycling fans and this summer marks 50 years since his tragic passing. To commemorate this the jersey features several homages to commemorate to Tommy's career.
The right band has the V from Vie en Velo (hosting the trip in Sept - @lavieenvelo) separating two colourways that indicate the first amateur club Howarth & District (red/white/ royal blue) and his first pro club St Raphael - Geminiani (red, white and light blue). and the left is a black band commemoration.
...?% of the profits from this jersey will go directly to the Dave Rayner Fund to help young British rider reach their dreams and preorders close on ... with delivery in Mid July.
